UN-HABITAT has been assisting Afghanistan to consolidate its role in nation building, demonstrating that a well-conceived rehabilitation process can be an instrument of reconciliation among communities in conflict. Advocating partnerships at a range of levels, with community groups, NGOs, municipalities, local governments, sister UN agencies and bilateral donors. UN-HABITAT has provided support to complex areas of physical reconstruction and social rehabilitation. The project through its support to policy formulation at the Ministry of Urban Development and Land, studies the issue in depth and works with the government to develop appropriate strategies.
At the same time, the project provides assistance to the returnee/IDP households residing in the Kandahar, Herat, Nengarhar and Balkh Provinces. This aims to support the reintegration of returnees and IDPs by reducing the social, political, financial, and physical obstacles which impede their ability to develop sustainable livelihoods and become integrated into the surrounding communities.
Truth_Land_Engineering_Services with adequate experience is pleased to provide construction surveying services to verify the pre-existing conditions such as topographic survey, mapping and documentation of the project site in Kandahar, Herat, Nengarhar and Balkh to include surface physical features, buildings and existing utilities, hydrological, geological, botanical or other physical conditions that could impact design.
